Your Questions, Our Answers

Why do some bedwetters have symptoms of ADD/ADHD?

While in stage 4 of sleep, bedwetters receive much less oxygen through their system than they would if they were cycling normally through all four stages of sleep. When the brain does not receive ample oxygen during the night, the daytime result can be signs of irritability, daydreaming and lack of focus and concentration. These symptoms are sometimes mis-diagnosed as ADD/ADHD.

When the sleep pattern is corrected to a normal cycle, these symptoms often disappear, as well as the bedwetting, because the "former" bedwetter is now cycling through all four stages of sleep and getting a normal, balanced, oxygen filled, healthy and quality night's sleep.
