Will my bedwetter “ OUTGROW ” it?
Since bedwetting is the result of an inherited deep sleep disorder, it's possible that the bedwetting may stop at some point, but not without problems.
Many children continue to wet far into their teen years and adulthood. Waiting this long to treat and cure the problem can create terrible self-esteem and emotional problems. Bedwetting continues to be one of the main reasons for medical discharge from the U.S. military.
An important point to remember is that unless the sleep pattern is changed, and if the wetting should end sometime in the future, the bedwetter will probably have to endure the consequences of the sleep disorder for life. It's a big risk that should not be taken.
